Mechernich - The choir "Ahr Voices" from Blankenheimerdorf, well known in the region and conducted by Pascal Lucke, gave a small concert last Sunday for the residents of the Communio in Christo long-term care facility in Mechernich and their relatives.

"It was an atmospheric musical hour for residents, relatives, members of the order, staff and friends of the choir," said Andrea Heide from the care team. The focus was on well-known Christmas carols that brought back memories and invited everyone to sing along.

The ensemble also performed pieces from the film "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella", an Abba medley and the Italian partisan song "Bella ciao". José Feliciano's evergreen "Feliz Navidad" brought the concert to a close.
 

The choir had already given a charity performance at the "Stella Maris" hospice of Communio die Christo on Thanksgiving Day in 2025. The initiative came from a member of the choir whose relatives had been lovingly cared for and accompanied by Communio.
